Open Educational Resources

There are countless materials for online language learning. Online dictionaries, interactive language learning  modules, and many more. This page lists materials produced by 15 National Language Resource Centers in USA, open access journals on linguistics, language teaching and learning, and provides free language course lists.

The Center for Open Educational Resources and Language Learning (COERLL) offers a big range of materials for Less Commonly Taught Languages (LCTL), Language tools, Assessment Tools, and Professional Development opportunities for language teachers and learners. The newest projects are eComma and Lescant (Photo Database).

eComma is a software that allows to annotate the same text together and and share their annotations with each other. It turns tags to labels and facilitates keyword search. It is a great Open Source content management system.

LESCANT includes photo database from all over the world: students who are traveling around contribute pictures to show cultural differences.
